SE Park Master Plan

The site of the future Southeast Park is located immediately east of Washington Park Mall on the north side of Price Road. For an interactive map of streets and other features of Bartlesville go to GIS City Maps.

Anticipating future residential growth in the southeast area of the community, this 42-acre site was purchased by the City in 1993 for the development of a community park.  Funds for the construction of this park site have not been identified, but a master plan developed in 2008 and shown above provides the design for it future construction.

The master development plan, shown in full size here, envisions a park which recognizes that preservation of natural open spaces is as important as providing new recreational facilities.  The plan capitalizes on preserving the site’s natural character providing primarily passive recreational activities for this park site which would include:

  • A 4-acre fishing lake with fishing docks and a scenic overlook with panoramic views of the lake.  The lake will also serve a regional stormwater detention area.
  • A 1-acre dog park.
  • A large picnic area with pavilions, picnic tables and grills, and a large children’s play area.
  • Preservation of the existing wooded areas, rock outcroppings, native grass meadows, and natural open space with a nature center and nature trails with interpretative signage.
  • A multi-use trail that runs throughout the 42-acre park site.

The following is a gallery of conceptual renderings from the master plan illustrating its proposed development.
