Downtown on agenda for town hall meeting

The first in a series of town hall meetings planned to discuss issues relating to the city’s Ward 4 is set for 7 p.m. on Dec. 8, incoming City Councilor Alan Gentges announced recently.

“In an effort to meet with as many citizens as possible, I plan to hold a series of town hall meetings in various neighborhoods of Ward 4,” Gentges said. “At these meetings I want to hear directly from the people. This will be a chance for you to voice your concerns and tell me what you would like to see us accomplish over the next two years.”

The first meeting will be held in the Council Chambers, located on the first floor of City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave. The focus of the meeting will be the continued development and improvement of downtown and the surrounding area.

“Everyone is invited, of course, but I am especially hopeful that Ward 4 residents as well as property and business owners will attend,” Gentges said. “Please come and be a part of shaping your city government and our future.”
