Open Letter to the Citizens of Bartlesville

From the Bartlesville City Council

The Bartlesville City Council would like to voice our sincere appreciation and thanks to all who voted during the General Obligation Bond Election held March 6. We always encourage everyone to be informed and vote when the opportunity arises, and the above average turnout at this special election is evidence of the interest each of you has for our community.

Bartlesville voters overwhelmingly said “Yes” to all four propositions. These will fund $16.5 million in improvements ranging from streets, storm drainage, parks and recreation facilities to the purchase of much needed equipment and the construction downtown of a community green space and entertainment venue adjoining the Price Tower and the Community Center facility.

These citizen-driven projects have drawn strong support from a diverse cross section of our community and will serve us well into the future. This package of improvements — including your support for quality of life projects — continues a long-held tradition of excellence for which Bartlesville is known.

We recognize and deeply appreciate the faith and confidence you have shown in us and in City staff, and we pledge to execute these projects as quickly and efficiently as possible. We will keep you apprised as we move forward together.

Thank you for your support and vision for our community. We are excited about the future and the positive change these projects will bring to our city.
