Public meeting for Tower Green project is July 10

June 28, 2018

Consultants and staff working on the Tower Green project will hold a special town hall meeting at noon on July 10 to receive public input concerning the stage and technical aspects that will be incorporated into the development of the project. The Tower Green gathering space is set for construction in Downtown Bartlesville after funding was approved by voters in the March 6 General Obligation Bond Election.

The town hall meeting will be held in the Lyon Gallery at the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 S.E. Adams Blvd.

“Consultants are working with the City Council-appointed Tower Green Design Committee to prepare a design plan for the projects that will result in a gathering space that is accessible, visible, attractive and memorable,” said Community Development Director Lisa Beeman. “As part of this effort, public input is being sought on how best to shape this public space to be open and inviting to everyone.”

The first public input meeting was held June 20 at the Bartlesville Community Center. It is expected that other meetings will be held as the design process evolves, Beeman said.

All residents are invited and encouraged to attend the public meeting on July 10 and share their ideas and thoughts concerning the stage and technical aspects that are to be incorporated into this important community space.
