Work underway to install traffic signal at Silver Lake Village

Motorists have no doubt noticed that work is underway to install a traffic control signal on Adams Boulevard east of Silver Lake Road to make way for the opening of Silver Lake Village — Bartlesville’s newest retail development center.

According to Director of Engineering Micah Siemers, the signals could be up and running as early as next week.

“The Adams Boulevard widening has been completed and traffic signals have been installed for the new Silver Lake Village development east of Lowe’s,” Siemers said Tuesday. “The contractor is working out power supply to the signals with PSO and should hopefully have temporary power in place sometime next week to get the signals running.”

Siemers said striping for the new intersection is anticipated to be complete later this week. He said the final lift of asphalt on the new road accessing the development will also be placed this week.

Silver Lake Village consists of several retail chain stores, including Ross Dress for Less, T.J. Maxx, Rack Room Shoes and Petco. The center is scheduled to open this fall.
