A dedication ceremony and ribbon cutting was held Monday for the newly-constructed Veterans Memorial at the City-owned Veterans Park, 312 S.W. Virginia Ave. The memorial consists of six flags honoring each of the U.S. branches of the military, the American Flag and the POW Flag, landscaping, signage, and several large sandstone boulders salvaged from the 123 Bridge replacement project, as well as a reflection bench honoring the late Ward 4 City Councilor Billie Roane.
