Lane closures planned for ODOT project

Jan 30, 2024

Lane closures are reportedly planned in connection with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation project at U.S. Highway 75 and U.S. Highway 60.

“The contractor will need to hang the new beams for the US-60 bridge over US-75 on Feb. 8-9,” City Director of Engineering Micah Siemers said this week. “During that time, US-75 will have one lane open for each direction of travel. When the beams are actually in the air, they’ll need to close all lanes on US-75 for five to ten minutes at a time to set the beams properly.”

The work is expected to take place between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Feb. 8 and Feb. 9.

The project consists of replacing the existing bridge that did not provide enough vertical clearance to truck traffic on US-75. ODOT says the project is expected to take several more months to complete
