Airport to host ribbon-cutting, groundbreaking for hangar development

Sep 4, 2025

The Bartlesville Municipal Airport will host a ribbon-cutting and groundbreaking ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday at 401 Wiley Post Road in Bartlesville.

The event, co-hosted by the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics and Bartlesville Development Authority, will celebrate the recently-completed $2-million taxilane project. Funds for the $2 million project came from a $1.18 million grant from the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics, a $737,000 grant from the Federal Aviation Administration, and $101,306 from the City’s Airport Fund.

The event will also include a groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction of a $5.4 million hangar project. The airport received more than $2.38 million from the Oklahoma Aerospace and Aeronautics Commission to help fund the construction of the 20,000-square-foot hangar and adjacent apron/taxilane pavement. The remaining $3.02 million will be funded by the BDA.

Everyone is welcome to attend the ceremony. To register or for more information, visit https://tinyurl.com/tu8emyak.
