City of Bartlesville offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24, Friday, Dec. 25, and Jan. 1, 2016, for the Christmas and New Year’s holidays, and alternate trash collection dates will be implemented during the holiday weeks.
Sanitation crews will run Thursday routes on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 as regularly scheduled, but customers who normally have their trash collected on Fridays will be serviced on Wednesday during those weeks, or Dec. 23 and Dec. 30.
“Wednesday is the alternate collection day for customers whose regular day falls on a holiday,” said Nancy Moody, senior administrative assistant for the Public Works Department. “So for Christmas week this year, if your regular collection day is Friday, you will need to set your trash out Tuesday night or by 6 a.m. on the morning of the Wednesday before (or Dec. 23). This schedule will apply for the New Year holiday as well.”
Police and fire services will continue with no disruption.
Offices will reopen Monday, Dec. 28, following Christmas and on Jan. 4, following the New Year’s Day, as scheduled.
