Application period to open for sidewalk program

Jul 23, 2026

The City of Bartlesville is preparing to open the application period for the second year of its Sidewalk Cost Repair Partnership Program, an initiative designed to help property owners offset the cost of repairing or maintaining sidewalks when expenses exceed $500. Building on the success of its inaugural year, the program continues to support safer, more accessible pedestrian infrastructure throughout the community.

“This program has already shown how meaningful shared investment can be for our neighborhoods,” said Community Development Director Larry Curtis. “As we enter year two, we’re committed to expanding that impact by helping even more property owners address significant sidewalk repairs and keep our community walkable for everyone.”

The program provides financial assistance to eligible property owners based on the scope of needed repairs and available funding. Priority is given to projects that improve public safety, preserve infrastructure and align with community standards. All awards are subject to an application and review process, and applicants should be prepared to meet program requirements and guidelines.

The application window for the Cost Repair Partnership Program will run from Aug. 1 through Aug. 31. Applications will be reviewed in September, with awards granted in October. This schedule ensures repairs can be planned and completed efficiently, supporting ongoing sidewalk safety and long-term infrastructure maintenance.
