Applications for air quality grant under review

Dec 20, 2022

The deadline has passed for applications from nonprofit agencies and not‐for‐profit low‐income housing complexes for participation in its Indoor Air Quality Improvement Grant. The funds are from the City’s Fiscal Year 2021 Community Development Block Grant–Coronavirus Relief Grant, which originated from funds allocated to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act.

The funds may be used for the rehabilitation of a public facility located within the city limits of Bartlesville and serving a low to moderate income area or low to moderate income clientele.

“We received 11 applications, totaling more than $1,051,000,” said City Planner II Nancy Warring. “Unfortunately, not all can be funded because we only have a little over $485,000 budgeted for this program.”

Warring said staff will spend the next several weeks evaluating and scoring the applications.

“It’s difficult to say when the process will conclude, but we will notify everyone who was selected for the funding as soon as possible,” she said.
