Asphalt work continues on Frank Phillips Boulevard

Sep 23, 2015

Work continues on the Frank Phillips Boulevard improvements project in downtown Bartlesville — with the asphalt overlay portion expected to get underway this week.

Contract crews are currently working on the milling portion of the project but plan to soon begin laying asphalt on the south side of Frank Phillips Boulevard at Keeler Avenue, continuing east to Cherokee Avenue before completing the north side of the road and side streets in the area.

Lane closures are expected during the project, but one lane will remain open to traffic at all times.

“If you are able to utilize alternate routes during this time, we encourage you to do so,” said Terry Lauritsen, director of Engineering. “While the roadway will remain open during these construction activities, delays should be expected.”
