Bartlesville Police Department saw good results from the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office campaign “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over.” The department participated in the event in an effort to reduce or eliminate accidents caused by drinking and driving.
“Bartlesville police were out in force during the ‘Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over’ campaign,” said Deputy Police Chief Rocky Bevard. “This included a checkpoint staffed by several officers on August 24. Our efforts were successful and no DUI injury accidents or fatalities were reported within the city of Bartlesville during the campaign, which ran August 14 through September 2.”
