It’s great for kids to walk and bike to school. They arrive with energy and a clear head, ready to learn. We want more kids to do it.
If we want more kids walking and biking, it’s important that we give them a safe environment. A grant from the Safe Routes to School Program is allowing us to do just that. We
‘re building sidewalks and painting crosswalks throughout town.
It’s also important to give kids the knowledge they need to walk and bike SAFELY. For an interactive map of streets and other features of Bartlesville go to GIS City Maps. The attached brochure was locally produced and contains safety tips, games, and quizzes. It’s a fun way for the kids to learn important safety tips. They might even recognize a friend in the photos!
