A special ceremony was held Wednesday to honor peace officers who have “paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving our great nation, state, county and city,” Bartlesville Police Department Capt. Rocky Bevard said.
The Peace Officers Memorial was held at the former police headquarters, located at 100 E. Hensley Blvd. The event is held every year in conjunction with National Police Week.
District Attorney Kevin Buchanan spoke at the ceremony, which was officiated by Bevard. Several peace officers, both past and present, attended the ceremony.
