Free leaf collection ends Friday

Dec 19, 2016

The free leaf collection campaign underway this week for Bartlesville residents ends Friday. The event began Monday, Dec. 19 (2016), and is the last free collection until next fall.

Residents who want to dispose of leaves and grass this week should place the bags at the curb on their normal collection day. The bags will be collected by Sanitation Department crews while running their regular routes.

  • Yard waste stickers are not required, and clear or colored bags may be used.
  • There is no limit on the number of bags permitted.
  • Collection is for private residencies only. No Commercial collections will be permitted.
  • Residents should comply with all other standard refuse regulations.
  • Leaves and grass will only be collected once on the normal collection day of this week.

“This free collection is for leaves and grass only,” said Public Works Director Keith Henry. “Extra bags or items of household refuse outside the cart must have the Red Refuse sticker attached.”
