Frontier Pool still closed

July 6, 2020

UPDATE: City maintenance crews are waiting for one last part to arrive to repair the main pump at Frontier Pool. The part is expected to arrive this week. Once the pump is repaired and replaced, the pool will need to be chemically balanced by the YMCA, which operates and manages the City-owned Frontier and Sooner swimming pools. Depending on when the part arrives, the pool could open as early as Friday (July 10), officials say, though it is more likely it will not be ready for reopening until next week. Updates are made to the City’s Facebook page, City of Bartlesville GOV, as soon as they are known.

City Parks/Maintenance crews are still waiting for parts needed to repair the main pump at Frontier Swimming Pool. The pool, located at 312 S.W.Virginia Ave., was closed on June 25 after the main circulation pump impeller stopped working.

Parts needed to repair the pump were finally located last week and are on-order. Repairs will get underway as soon as the impeller is received. Updates will be posted on the City’s Facebook page, City of BartlesvilleGOV.
