Area lakes are full after one of the wettest Novembers on record, according to Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen.
“We are no longer in any type of threat of a drought or any kind of water supply issue,” Lauritsen said. “However, we continue to work on looking for future water supply options.”
The Water Resources Committee is expected to meet in December. Staff plan to provide an update on the status of four potential resources to enhance Bartlesville’s water supply, including studies on accessing Kaw Lake and the Ada Vermoosa Aquifer.
Staff will also update the committee on efforts to secure reallocation and/or additional water rights at Hulah and Copan lakes.
