Lane closures facilitate multiple projects

Lane closures prompted by water line rehabilitation work

Water line rehabilitation work will close lanes on two Bartlesville streets beginning Monday, Nov. 7.

Lane closures will occur on Delaware Avenue from Ninth Street to 11th Street and on 11st Street from Shawnee Avenue to Cherokee Avenue. One lane of traffic will remain open for the duration of the projects. Both lanes may be opened during the evenings and weekends, when possible.

The affected lanes will be re-opened once the projects are complete.

Fifth Street closed to accommodate nearby construction project

Fifth Street between Seminole and the Frontier Pool parking lot is closed to accommodate a construction project at the nearby Boys and Girls Club, Director of Engineering Micah Siemers said recently.

It was initially thought the road would be closed for one week to allow for an “open cut” needed to facilitate the project, but Siemers said this week the road will remain closed for the duration of the project.

“We expect the road will be reopened in January,” Siemers said.

Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes when possible.

Downtown sidewalk repairs prompt lane closure

A portion of Keeler Avenue will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 9, to accommodate sidewalk repairs in the area, Director of Engineering Micah Siemers announced Tuesday.

“The southbound lane of Keeler between Fourth Street and Fifth Street will be closed Wednesday, Nov. 9, to facilitate construction activities associated with concrete sidewalk repairs in front of the Adams Building,” Siemers said.

The lane will be closed from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

“Please avoid this section of Keeler if possible,” Siemers said.
