Lane closures shift on Price Road

Jun 5, 2019

As work on the Price Road Rehabilitation project approaches the final stages, lane closures are set to shift again beginning this week, Director of Engineering Micah Siemers said Wednesday.

“We will be shifting traffic one more time, closing the westbound lane and opening the eastbound lane, pending weather conditions,” Siemers said. “There is a decent chance they will have to stop work Thursday and Friday due to weather, which will delay progress, but this phase of the project should wrap up early next week.”

Siemers said once this portion of the project is complete remaining items of work will be sealing joints, striping and cleanup.

“We’re looking at another two weeks to finish, assuming we get manageable weather conditions,” he said.

The project involves smoothing out the washboard effect on Price Road between the roundabout and U.S. Highway 75, as well as adding shoulders and re-enforcing the roadway joints.
