The City Council took steps Monday to issue the last tranche in a series of 2018 General Obligation Bonds that will provide funding for projects approved by voters in the 2018 G.O. Bond Issue Election. The issuance will conclude the funding process for the 2018 series and allow remaining projects to be completed.
Projects designated for this tranche of funding are:
Johnstone Park parking lot and entry access roads — $406,100
Includes a redesign and construction of the access and paved roads in Johnstone Park.
Douglass Park walkway — $45,700
Consist of repaving and improving the existing asphalt walking trail at Douglass Park.
Replacement of park drinking fountains — $40,600
Involves replacement of drinking fountains in all City of Bartlesville-owned parks.
Minnesota overlay from U.S. Highway 75 to Madison Boulevard — $659,800
Includes point repair and an asphalt overlay of Minnesota Street between U.S. 75 and Madison Boulevard.
“This is the final piece of funding associated with the 2018 G.O. Bond Issue,” said Director of Engineering Micah Siemers. “All other projects approved by voters in this issue have either been completed or are in some stage of completion, as funding has already been issued and allocated for those projects.”
The first tranche of the 2020 G.O. Bond Issue, approved by voters on Aug. 25, 2020, will be issued in December.
