Aug 13, 2025

On Aug. 13, 2025, at approximately 6 a.m., the Bartlesville Police Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Dewey Police Department executed a joint operation by serving a search warrant on property located in the 600 block of North Johnstone Avenue.

The operation resulted in the arrest of ten individuals on a variety of charges, including:

  • Knowingly concealing stolen property
  • Smuggling contraband into a jail facility
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Local warrants
  • Warrants from other jurisdictions

This action is part of an ongoing investigation stemming from the recent Holbrook Asphalt theft case.

The property where the warrant was served is well known to local law enforcement and has been linked to multiple theft investigations in Bartlesville and surrounding areas.

“This operation is another example of the continued dedication and teamwork between the Bartlesville Police

Department, Washington County Sheriff’s Office and the Dewey Police Department,” said Police Chief Kevin Ickleberry.  “We will not tolerate criminal activity that threatens the safety and well-being of our community. This property has been a source of numerous theft-related crimes, and today’s arrests send a clear message — if you choose to engage in criminal behavior in Bartlesville, you will be held accountable.”

“This morning’s operation went extremely smooth and is a direct result of our special response teams training and working together,” said Washington County Sheriff Scott Owen. “I am proud of our deputies and detention staff, whose professionalism and coordination made this operation straightforward and seemingly effortless. The team’s leadership demonstrated a well thought out and carefully executed action plan, ensuring every team member was prepared and that the operation was conducted safely, with no injuries. This operation should serve as a clear message: All Washington County law enforcement agencies are united and committed to working together to combat crime — not only in the city of Bartlesville but throughout Washington County.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges or arrests may occur. Anyone with information is urged to contact the Bartlesville Police Department at 918.338.4001 or Crime Stoppers at 918.338.2583.
