Members of the Bartlesville City Council will be sworn into office during a regularly scheduled meeting Monday to begin the upcoming two-year term.
Three members will return after running unopposed for re-election, although some will represent different wards thanks to ward boundaries being redrawn to more accurately balance ward populations.
Dale Copeland, who previously represented Ward 5, will represent Ward 1, John J. Kane will continue representing Ward 2, and Dr. Joseph Callahan, who previously represented Ward 4, will represent Ward 5.
Incoming councilors Jim Curd will represent Ward 3, and Alan Gentges will represent Ward 4. Both were elected to their seats in the Nov. 8 election.
During Monday‘s meeting, the council will vote to elect a mayor and vice mayor for the new term.
The meeting will be streamed live on the City’s webcast and aired on Cable One’s Channel 16. The meeting will be held at City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave. Everyone is invited to attend.
