New sod has been laid at Jo Allyn Lowe Park, the latest in a series of steps taken to address soil erosion at the park. The project is part of an overall effort to improve conditions at City-owned parks, including erosion rehabilitation, funding for which was approved by voters in the 2018 General Obligation Bond Election. City staff is collaborating to design a rain garden at the park to help collect rain water, Director of Engineering Micah Siemers said Monday. Jo Allyn Lowe Park is located at 2600 S.E. Price Road. The park features an arboretum, fishing lake, a Pathfinder Parkway trailhead and walking/jogging trails, and a monarch butterfly garden.
