Online crime reporting available on City website

November 12, 2018

Beginning this week, citizens now have the option of reporting some crimes online using the City of Bartlesville website, www.cityofbartlesville.com, Police Chief Tracy Roles said Monday.

“We can now offer an online crime reporting option that will give our citizens a more convenient way to report certain crimes,” Roles said. “The types of crimes targeted for online reporting include reports for lost property, theft, theft from a vehicle, vandalism, bike theft and phone harassment.”

Roles said all emergencies should be reported by calling 911. And for those who do not wish to use the online reporting option, non-emergency crimes may still be reported by contacting the Police Department’s non-emergency number, 918.338.4001.

Roles said the online reporting option is a win/win for both citizens and Police Department staff.

“This type of reporting tool will provide a more convenient customer service option as well as bring the Bartlesville Police Department more up to date on good uses of technology,” he said. “We hope this option of crime reporting will be a convenience for our citizens.”

To use the online reporting option, go to www.cityofbartlesville.org and click on “Report a Crime” in the “Popular Pages” section. Select the report type and fill out the interactive form. Forms will be submitted to Police Department staff and referred to the appropriate personnel.
