Police memorial service planned for Wednesday

The Bartlesville Police Department will hold a special memorial service for fallen and disabled officers beginning at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17. The ceremony is held each year in conjunction with Police Memorial Week.
The service will be held in the south parking lot of the former police headquarters, located at 100 E. Hensley Blvd. Eleventh Judicial District Attorney Kevin Buchanan with be the featured guest speaker at the event, and the BPD Honor Guard will conduct the honorary ceremony.
The event is to honor law enforcement officers who have “paid the ultimate sacrifice while protecting and serving our great nation, state, county and city,” said Capt. Rocky Bevard. The public is invited to attend.
