What is the status of the shade structure cover at Civitan Park?
As Bartlesville park-goers no doubt recall, the shade structure cover at the park was damaged beyond repair during a storm that occurred in the spring of last year. Funding for the replacement cover was approved by the City Council in this fiscal year’s budget, which began July 1, 2019 and ends June 30, 2020. According to the Engineering Department, the manufacturer shipped the fabric top late last week, and staff is expecting it to arrive this week. Watch City Beat for updates on installation.

Is there any additional information available regarding the Oklahoma Department of Transportation’s plans to resurface U.S. Highway 75 south of Bartlesville?
According to Director of Engineering Micah Siemers, ODOT currently has a Federal Fiscal Year 2021 project scheduled to resurface U.S. 75 starting 4 miles south of Highway 60 East (2400 Road), extending 5.5 miles north to Frank Phillips Boulevard. The project includes some combination of mill/overlay and reconstruction with some work on the drainage structures.

The current ODOT eight-year planned projects scheduled for Division 8 are as follows:
- August 2020 — Bid letting for right turn lane on US-75 into Eastland
- FFY 2021— Utilities and rights of way for US-60 between US-75 and SH-123
- January 2021— Bid letting for SH-123 bridge realignment over Caney River (Cherokee Bridge replacement)
- May 2021— Bid letting for grading, drainage and resurfacing US-75 from 2400 to Frank Phillips Boulevard
- FFY 2023— US-60 rehab of bridge over US-75 (reconstruction of overpass at US-60 and US-75)
- FFY 2025— Widening and resurfacing US-60 from US-75 to SH-123
