A Discount Tire Store is under construction at the Silver Lake Shopping Center, located on Adams Boulevard east of Silver Lake Road. A target date for completion has not been announced.
What’s the latest on the old Hobby Lobby store? I saw construction going on over there over the weekend.
Big Lots is relocating to the old Hobby Lobby building in Eastland Shopping Center. The Community Development Department has not received any permit applications regarding plans for the soon to be former Big Lots location on Frank Phillips Boulevard.
Are they planning on building something where the old Marie’s was?
According to the Community Development Department, no building construction will be permitted at the site commonly known as “the old Marie’s steak house,” located on the southwest corner of Adams Boulevard and Silver Lake Road, because the site lies in the floodway of the Caney River. Unlike across the street, where Lowe’s is located, which is within a floodplain, building within a floodway is not permitted.
