Your Questions: Mosquito spraying, library flower beds & paying utility bills via MyBartlesville app

Sep 23, 2025

The mosquitos are bad this year. Is the City still spraying?

The Public Works Department has been spraying when weather allows and will continue until temperatures consistently fall into the mid 50s.

The chemical used for mosquito control in Bartlesville may not legally be sprayed when it’s raining or when the wind is blowing more than 10 mph. Frequent rain events as well as windy conditions have hindered the spraying process this season more than usual. For more information about the spraying schedule, see www.cityofbartlesville.org.

Who maintains the flower beds at the Bartlesville Public Library? They always look lovely.

The Washington County Master Gardeners maintain the flower beds at the City-owned public library as a community service project. The cost is covered by the library and through donation funds. You can get more information HERE. And be sure to check out the new video WCMG sent us! (It’s in the story.)

Can someone please make an app so we can pay our water bill on there?

We have an app for that! Utility customers actually have multiple options to pay their water/utility bill from the City, including in person, by mail, automatic bank draft, via drop box, and online. The online option is available via our website at https://www.cityofbartlesville.org/city-services/bill-payment/, and it also accessible via our free mobile app, MyBartlesville, which is available for iPhone and Android devices.
