Special ceremony honors 9/11 victims

The Bartlesville Fire Department held a special ceremony Wednesday to honor those who were injured or lost their lives during a terrorist attack on U.S. soil on Sept. 11, 2001.
Nineteen members of Al Qaeda hijacked four U.S. commercial airplanes and crashed them into the north and south towers of the World Trade Center in New York, the Pentagon in Washington D.C. and a field in Shanksville, Pa. A total of 2,977 people were killed, including 343 firefighters, 23 New York City police officers and 37 officers at the Port Authority.
