City-owned splash pads will close for the winter on Oct. 3, Public Works Director Keith Henry said today. While City-owned Sooner and Frontier pools close for the season when classes resume, splash pads in Sooner, Johnstone and Unity Square parks remain open until cooler weather becomes consistent, as staff is not required to operate the splash pads.
