Temporary warming shelter to open at DCC on Wednesday

Feb 1, 2022

Temporary shelter will be available this week at the Disciples Christian Church, 5800 Douglas Lane in Bartlesville, for anyone in need, spokespersons for the Home for the Night Task Force said earlier today.

“We are anticipating the need to open the Home for the Night Emergency Warming Shelter beginning Wednesday, Feb. 2,” said Task Force member Rhonda Hudson.

The shelter will remain open until temperatures reach above 15 degrees.

“There will be real-time updates on the Home for the Night project Facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/bvillewarmshelter,” Hudson said.

The shelter program is part of the Home for the Night project recently launched in Bartlesville. For more information, see this edition of City Beat.
