Monday trash routes will be serviced Wednesday this week due to the Labor Day holiday that occurred on Monday. Most City offices were closed for the holiday, so Monday trash routes were changed to accommodate the closings.
“Residents who normally have their trash picked up on Mondays will be serviced on Wednesday this week,” said Keith Henry, Public Works director. “Monday customers will need to put their trash out no later than 6 a.m. on Wednesday for their trash to be collected.”
The City Council meeting normally scheduled for Monday will be held on Tuesday. The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave. Council meetings, which are televised on Cable One’s Channel 56, are open to the public.
