The City Recycle Center, located at 10th Street and Virginia Avenue, opened Monday for the first time since closing in April due to a fire at the Tulsa processing center.
As a host site for the California-based company Replenysh, the City-owned center pulled in 30 bags of material on its first day of reopening, Public Works Director Keith Henry said late Monday.
“Thirty bags of material is a very good showing, especially for the first day,” he said.
The bags will be collected by Replenysh on an as-needed basis. The center is open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
