Striping was recently completed on the West Tuxedo Bridge following a months-long project involving a complete deck replacement of the west bridge. Traffic on the east bridge was reduced to one lane each direction for the duration of the project. “Westbound traffic has been shifted to the actual westbound bridge,” said Project Manager Steve Roper. “We anticipate one lane closure in the near future for additional shoulder work, but this would be only a single lane and would likely be for just one day.” The project was approved by voters in the 2020 General Obligation Bond Election. The project faced delays in starting due to environmental regulatory requirements.
