Unity Square ‘Native Color’ project nears completion

May 4, 2021

The finishing touches were added this weekend to the Tower Center at Unity Square interactive water/art feature “Native Color.” Kansas City, Mo., artist Amie Jacobsen was in town over the weekend to install the stained glass panels onto the flower fixtures, which were erected last month.

“Thank you Bartlesville for your warm, friendly and enthusiastic welcoming,” Jacobsen said via social media. “We have so enjoyed working with you. I will be back on June 4 for the opening of the water feature and to see the park complete.”

Funding for the park, located at Sixth Street and Dewey Avenue, was approved by voters in the 2018 G.O. Bond Election and provided by corporate and private donations.
