White Rose Cemetery, initially named City Cemetery, was established in 1899. It was later called Union Cemetery and became White Rose Cemetery around 1905. The mausoleum was founded and owned by local merchant, financier and pioneer businessman Hugh Bryant, aka Sonny Jim Bryant. It was dedicated on July 11, 1923.
