White Rose Cemetery will host National Wreaths Across America Day on Dec. 13 at the city-owned cemetery, 804 W. 11th St. in Bartlesville. A ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the cemetery’s mausoleum followed by the placement of fresh, handmade wreaths on the graves of veterans.
The Bartlesville chapter of National Society Daughters of the American Revolution coordinates the local ceremony with the approval of the White Rose Cemetery Board. Local volunteers have raised enough funds to place more than 400 wreaths. At least 800 veterans have been laid to rest at White Rose Cemetery.
Wreaths are $17. More information can be found at wreathsacrossamerica.org.
The public is invited to attend and participate.
