2025 annual Water Quality Report now available

Jun 11, 2026

The 2025 Consumer Confidence Report for the City’s water system is now available, Water Utilities Director Terry Lauritsen said this week.

“Each year, Oklahoma municipalities are required to publish an annual report regarding their water system quality,” Lauritsen said. “This report provides details about where your water comes from, what it contains, and how it compares to Environmental Protection Agency and state standards. We’ve received our Water Consumer Confidence Report from the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality reflecting our water quality last year.”

The 2025 report includes information about the July 2025 positive E. coli sample that resulted in a precautionary boil order. Lauritsen said the event was traced to an isolated issue with a sampling station — not the water system itself — and that all subsequent testing confirmed the system remained free of harmful bacteria.

“Other than the sampling‑station anomaly that prompted the boil order, every other water quality measurement for the year fell within normal ranges and complied with all regulatory requirements,” Lauritsen said.

The City will also provide a notification to all water customers in their June and July bill with a link to the report.
