4F Sports, a local company that recently took over management and maintenance of the City-owned Price Fields Sports Complex, is set to begin sign-ups for the upcoming season, 4F owner John Pannell said today.
The City Council in January approved an agreement with the non-profit company based on a model agreement used by Owasso. The one-year agreement gives 4F Sports the right to operate baseball/softball recreational and competitive leagues and to coordinate tournaments at the complex, located at Tuxedo Boulevard and Silver Lake Road. The company will also be responsible for maintenance and repair of the entire complex.
When contacted today, Pannell said the company plans to start sign-ups soon for the following:
- Babe Ruth League
- Baseball and softball
- T-ball 3-6 years
- Coach pitch 7-8 years
- Player pitch 9-14 years
He said the company will host a recreational league through Babe Ruth, a competitive league for baseball beginning in April, and a competitive league for softball beginning in June.
“We will have sign-ups out as soon as possible,” Pannell said. “We just completed our new charter with the Babe Ruth League and should be hearing from them this week.”
He said the company is also looking for coaches, and that their website should be live in about two weeks. In the meantime, visit 4F Sports on Facebook for more information.
