Grand Gateway survey closes March 30

Mar 19, 2018

Citizens have just two weeks to offer input on a statewide Long Range Transportation Plan that will help prioritize the spending of state and federal funds on transportation projects throughout Oklahoma for the next 25 years.

The Washington County Long Range Transportation Plan will outline strategies and actions for addressing transportation issues and needs, covering all modes of movement, including automobile, transit, bicycle, pedestrian, railroad and freight, as well as intermodal movements.

Public input plays an important role in the development of the plan, and to understand the interests and concerns of all stakeholders Grand Gateway is asking the Washington County public to participate in completing a survey, which can be taken online or completed by hand. The online survey can be found at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/WashCoOK. Copies of the surveys to complete by hand are available at local libraries, town halls and senior centers.

The survey will remain open through the end of the month. Survey questions focus on how people want to live and travel in the future and what they think of particular highway investment strategies. For questions, concerns or more information, contact Misha Nigh, Regional Transportation Planning Organization coordinator, at 800-482-4594.
