Bids to be considered for park pavilion project

Feb 19, 2016

The Bartlesville City Council is expected to consider approval of a bid award for the Johnstone pavilion project — a multi-phase project that includes construction of a 6,000 square foot open-sided pavilion at the entrance of Johnstone Park — during a special meeting Monday.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. in the Council Chambers, located on the first floor of City Hall, 401 S. Johnstone Ave.

The initial phase of the pavilion project consists of engineering design, associated sidewalks and utility relocations and connections, while the second phase involves additional paving and sidewalks and installation of a prefabricated restroom and associated utilities.

Funding for the project will come from the 2014 and 2015 Community Development Block Grants and matching City funds, utilizing funds from the ½-cent Capital Improvement Project funds.

The total amount budgeted for both phases of the project is $462,152. Bids for the project were submitted by four contractors.

The meeting is open to anyone wishing to attend.
