City of Bartlesville Street, Water and Waste Water Department crews have started work on Phase 2 work of the Johnstone Park Pavilion project. Phase 2 includes the installation of a four-stall prefabricated rest room and associated site work.
“We are targeting the rest room to arrive sometime the first or second week in December,” said Micah Siemers, director of Engineering. “City Street, Water, and Waste-Water department crews are working on prepping the site for its arrival.”
Siemers said additional concrete work is underway at the site as well.
“The Street Department will also complete some of the concrete work around the north and west perimeters of the pavilion to connect to the rest room and First Street,” he said. “This work will officially complete Phase 2 of the project.”
The third phase will go out to bid sometime later this year, Siemers said
“Phase 3 will include the remaining concrete work around the perimeter of the pavilion, a new brick plaza to the south of the pavilion and perimeter sidewalk along Cherokee, Hensley, Osage and First Street that will tie to the plaza and pavilion paving,” he said.
If funds allow, Phase 3 may also include some lighting and other decorative features for the plaza area, he said.
