The Bartlesville Police Department will hold its “MILO Training System Day” June 6-7, giving the public an opportunity to see first-hand training techniques used by Bartlesville police officers and the challenges they face.
The simulator will be available 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 6-7 at Tri County Tech, 6101 S.E. Nowata Road in Bartlesville.
“The MILO Range training system is a comprehensive training system designed to allow trainers to give presentations and classes, conduct interactive testing and assessment, and provide immersive, hands-on scenario-based exercises with detailed debriefing and after-action review,” said Police Chief Tracy Roles.
The public is invited to use the MILO system at the direction of a BPD instructor. Time slots will be scheduled in 20 minute intervals beginning at 8 a.m. both days.
“The MILO system has been a valuable tool for our department, not only in enhancing the training for Bartlesville Police Department officers but also in helping the public better understand the challenges peace officers across our state and country face on a daily basis,” said Roles. “We hope everyone who is interested will consider participating in this event.”
