Bartlesville City Council members, from left, Jim Curd Jr., Trevor Dorsey, Dale Copeland, Paul Stuart and Alan Gentges were sworn in to office by City Attorney Jess Kane during the council’s first meeting of the new term on Monday. In its first order of business, the council elected Copeland and Gentges to continue in their previous roles as mayor and vice mayor, respectively. City Council terms are two years, at which time all five seats are subject to election. Copeland, Gentges and Dorsey retained their seats as they did not draw opponents during the filing period in August while Stuart and Curd faced opponents and won re-election in November.
