City of Bartlesville offices will be closed Thursday, July 4, and trash routes for Thursday customers will be amended to Wednesday that week due to the Independence Day holiday.
“Thursday trash routes will be serviced on Wednesday, July 3, instead of July 4 so our staff can be off work for the holiday,” said Public Works Director Keith Henry. “Thursday route customers should have their trash at its normal collection place no later than 6 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3.”
The City’s standing policy is that routes affected by a holiday are serviced on Wednesday of the same week.
“Obviously, this is a little easier if your trash day is Monday or Tuesday, because if you forget, you can always just put your trash out later,” Henry said. “Thursday and Friday routes are a little harder because you have to remember to put it out before your normal trash day.”
Police and fire services will continue as normally scheduled. City offices will re-open as normally scheduled on Friday, July 5.
