Patrons asked to practice social distancing, adhere to rules
The City of Bartlesville recycle center at 10th Street and Virginia Avenue is open and operating during regularly scheduled hours: 6:30 a.m. through 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 6:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. The center is closed on Sundays and holidays.
Public Works Director Keith Henry asks that recyclers voluntarily practice social distancing at the center and to remain mindful of what items are and not permitted. These items include scrap metal and plastic bags, he said.
“We have had some items dropped off recently that cause issues later in the recycling process,” Henry said, citing scrap metal and plastic bags, in particular. “We’re asking everyone to adhere to the rules so we can keep the center running as smoothly as possible.”
