Bartlesville youth and familes can participate in activities and go to nutrition sites at reduced CityRide rates during the months of June and July, Cimarron Transit spokespersons said this week.
Rides are curb to curb and the cost is $1 each way for trips within the city limits. Guardians or parents traveling with youth can ride at no charge when traveling to and from the same location. Groups of up to five youth can ride one-way for a maximum charge of $3.
The reduced fares are available weekdays between the hours of 10 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. beginning June 1 and ending July 31.
To schedule a ride, call 336-2233. Rides should be scheduled 48 hours in advance, according to Laura Corff, transit director, United Community Action Program, Inc., administrator for the community transportation program that is sponsored by the City of Bartlesville.
“All trips are scheduled on a first call basis, subject to availability,” Corff said, noting that standing appointments will be considered.
Youths 12 to17 years of age can ride unaccompanied within the city limits, subject to ridership policies.
