Asphalt work is set to begin early Thursday morning on Frank Phillips Boulevard in downtown Bartlesville.
Contract crews will begin laying asphalt on Frank Phillips Boulevard near the railroad tracks west of Keeler Avenue on Thursday, Oct. 8. Crews will continue east to Cherokee Avenue — and then proceed to side streets in the area — until the work is complete.
Lane closures are expected during the project, but one lane will remain open to traffic at all times. This portion of the project is expected to take a minimum of two days.
“If you are able to utilize alternate routes during this time, we encourage you to do so,” said Terry Lauritsen, director of Engineering. “While the roadway will remain open during these construction activities, delays should be expected.”
Motorists are asked to not park on Frank Phillips Boulevard on Thursday and Friday to accommodate the project.
