Election Day information, details coming soon

Dec 9, 2025

The City Council took action on several agenda items Monday that will allow elections planned for Feb. 10, 2026, to move forward.

The council voted unanimously to officially call for the elections to be held on Feb. 10, 2026, as well as several items required to meet the legal requirements for each of the measures to be considered by voters.

Voters will decide three issues on Election Day:

  • General Obligation Bond Issue
  • Extension of the existing 1/2-cent Capital Improvement Project (CIP) Sales Tax
  • Extension of the existing 1/4-cent Economic Development Sales Tax

Passage of the G.O. Bond Issue and 1/2-cent CIP Sales Tax extension will fund $34.5 million in capital needs and projects over the next seven years. Extension of the 1/4-cent ED Sales Tax will continue funding the city’s economic development and tourism efforts.

During meetings held earlier this month, the council reviewed capital recommendations and voted unanimously on the projects and equipment that will be put before voters for consideration on Feb. 10, 2026.

A full list of those projects can be viewed HERE and HERE.

Additionally, City staff is working now to compile complete descriptions of each project and other useful information about each of the measures. This information will be available in a special edition of City Beat, as well as published on the City website, www.cityofbartlesville.org, and via several other City platforms between now and the elections.

“We want voters to have all the information they need about this election so they can make thoughtful, informed decisions,” said City Manager Mike Bailey. “Now that the council has officially selected the projects that voters will consider, we are working to provide as much detailed information about them as we can, and in as many formats as possible so that anyone who wants to can easily access it.”

“We normally have a lot of citizen engagement for our elections, so I would anticipate hearing from some of them over the next eight weeks or so as well,” Bailey said. “This is always an exciting time for our city. It’s a chance to plan for our future, take care of our needs responsibly, and choose the ways we want to grow into the next several years. We hope everyone will be as excited as we are about what’s ahead.”
